The challenge

Today’s market environment is highly volatile. Quick response and flexibility are essential. But how can a huge, centralized organization respond to challenges more quickly? Our client is the market leader company in Hungarian telecommunication, but it also has to deal with smaller, local internet and television service providers. How is it possible to respond to the regionally different, competing operations with centrally organizated processes?

The solution

We assessed and analyzed the efficiency and the related processes of the sales organization (operation, own and partner store network, agent network). We suggested partial decentralization. After all, fast and efficient response may only be given on the ground: where the competing parties operate, where we can gather information directly, and where we are aware of the possibilities of counteraction. Together we designed the new business processes in marketing, sales and technical areas in order to react faster and more efficiently to the competitors’ actions. We thoroughly prepared the organization for the delicate phase of transition. We implemented the entire sales organization transformation from conceptual design to deployment. We have reduced the length of their decision making processes from months to a couple of days. The regressive sales trends have been successfully reduced. New opportunities and reserve capacities have been identified.

The challenge

Our customer, a leading telecommunication company, contracted for a new, out-of-the-box Sales Force Automation (SFA) system to support their sales processes in the SME segment. But how can an out-of-the-box product be transformed into a customized, real solution? Who will mediate between IT and business units? Who will resolve contradictions and provide suggestions when problems occur?

The solution

Our client identified the problem and looked for a partner who represents both IT expertise and excellent business solutions. They appointed us to do the task, and BCA delivered a unified solution. Our business consultants assessed and understood the sales processes. A well-structured documentation of the business processes helped our clients to understand the final solution, and significantly reduced the possibility of future misunderstandings. Our developers were real experts of the IT product, so we could hand over the best solutions tailored to the needs of our clients. BCA undertook the responsibility for the entire project, including liaising with suppliers to ensure smooth cooperation. As a result, we implemented the new system on schedule. We achieved a remarkable 100% use of the developed and implemented features, and due to the successful communication throughout the project the client was entirely satisfied with the new solution.

Testing and QA

The quality and safe go-live of IT solutions may only be ensured by E2E approach, where the entire testing process - test plans and scripts, performance and automated test development, manual testing - are prepared based on thoroughly understood business and IT requirements. Efficient management is essential to meet deadlines, to ensure that all test environments and test data are available in time and that errors are prioritized and fixed.

The challenge

A foreign supplier implemented an out-of-the-box solution for one of our clients, and BCA was entrusted with the quality assurance of the implementation. An international, multi-player project is always a great challenge: to coordinate people of different cultural and corporate background without the chance of actually meeting them in person.

The solution

As a first step we understood the business goal and priorities of the implementation by consulting the end-users. Then, based on this information and the specification we prepared the test scripts and planned the test cycles. We established an efficient and regular communication and reporting system with the developers working at different locations all over the world to ensure quick response to issues. After the functional and integrational testing we conducted user acceptance tests (UAT) together with the client before the successsful go-live.
